THE SOUND BEHIND THE CALL LETTERS

KMET’s Signature Station ID

KMET’s freeform rock sound was shaped by the DJs who brought their own voices and records to Los Angeles radio. Its station identification became just as memorable.
The “A Little Bit of Heaven, Ninety-Four Point Seven” jingle is credited on the site to Shadoe Stevens and the Pointer Sisters. These preserved playlists bring that era back to the dial.
